A light, but flavourful vapour-infused gin made from eight botanicals. Juniper forward, but not aggressively so, with a good dose of coriander, notes of citrus, hints of cinnamon, orris and more. Available in 750ml and now 375ml bottles.
Following our theme of "misguided spirits," Spectral gin pays homage to the ghostly White Lady of Thetis Cove associated with Victoria's Four Mile Pub, opened in 1858 as a rural escape for visitors and city residents.
Her shimmering form is said to be have been often witnessed, standing on the shore, in what is now Victoria's View Royal neighbourhood, watching for the return of her husband, a sea captain. Although her name isn't known, she is said to have been related to Peter Calvert, who founded the inn. According to local history, she made daily trips to the nearby cove to keep watch for her husband, but died before his return.
